R. M. Davenport graduated from the University of Maine at Machias in 2020 from the Arts and Letters undergraduate program with a focus on creative writing and book arts. She currently works in human services in Maine. As an openly queer creative writer and painter living with mental illness, she is committed to shedding light on difficult conversations around trauma, poverty and mental illness so often shrouded in shame with openness through the arts.
